Where to start, Ok I'm a single mother of 2, ADHD children, and during the school holidays, I was at the end of
my rope like I know most parents can get during the school holidays. I did'nt know where to turn, or who to ask for help,
until I had a friend who gave me the number of an organisation. I rang them the following morning and recieved a great deal
of help with more numbers to ring and people to contact.
I then contacted several of the organisations concerned and they were all great, nobody looked down on me like I thought
they would. I felt like I wasnt the only person going through the dramas alone.
The scary thing about all this was, that I did feel all alone, I had been dealing with doctors thoughout my daughters
life, as she has had over 22 operations, you would think that I would be able to handle anything after that, but guess what?
everyone has a breaking point, and mine was when I said NO to my kids, and they screamed at me, not much I know but that
was when I fell apart. So please do not feel like your alone, reach out to one of the phone numbers on the following pages
and talk to someone, a friendly ear is sometimes all it takes.
